THE CAST (OF CHARACTERS)

For the sake of consistency and to minimize confusion, I have arbitrarily assigned specific spelling to particular given (first) names, starting with the English spelling as used in the Telechan Memorial Book.  Because repetition of names is so common among Askenazie Jews, it is vital to differentiate one person from another by spelling the name (in English) somewhat different for each individual.  Among Ashkenzie Jews the general pattern of selecting names is for newborn children to be named after recently deceased elders, often grandparents.[1]  Therefore the same name tends to reappear every other generation.  So here's my scorecard on who's who in the Ajzenberg family.
